Programme Modules Overview

Module 1 – Foundations of Peace & Justice (Weeks 1–2)

Build a strong understanding of SDG 16 and global peace and justice systems. Learn about positive peace, rule of law, and the differences between global and local justice frameworks.

Practical outputs: a Personal Peace & Justice Leadership Statement and a Community SDG 16 Mapping.

Module 2 – Human Rights & Institutions (Weeks 3–4)

Explore human rights frameworks and institutional accountability. Core topics include the UDHR, access to justice, gender inclusion, and institutional responsibility.

Practical outputs: an Institutional Gap Analysis and a Rights vs. Practice Reflection Brief.

Module 3 – Conflict Prevention & Peacebuilding (Weeks 5–6)

Focus on community-based peacebuilding and social cohesion. Learn conflict analysis tools, mediation and dialogue techniques, and reconciliation practices.

Practical outputs: a Conflict Mapping Exercise and a Community Peace Action Concept Note.

Module 4 – Youth, Peace & Security (YPS) (Weeks 7–8)

Empower youth-led peacebuilding and leadership. Study the UN YPS agenda, youth participation models, and intergenerational leadership.

Practical outputs: a Youth Engagement Strategy and a Collaborative Youth Dialogue Session.

Module 5 – Ethics & Strong Institutions (Weeks 9–10)

Develop ethical leadership and strengthen institutional integrity. Learn about transparency, accountability, anti-corruption measures, and ethical decision-making.

Practical outputs: an Ethical Leadership Case Study and an Institutional Improvement Proposal.

Module 6 – Advocacy & Policy Influence (Weeks 11–12)

Gain skills in advocacy, diplomacy, and policy engagement. Core topics include policy writing, stakeholder mapping, and government and NGO collaboration.

Practical outputs: an SDG 16 Policy Brief and an Advocacy Campaign Outline.

Module 7 – Research & International Publication (Weeks 13–14)

Build research, writing, and global visibility skills. Learn research methods, academic and policy writing, and ethical storytelling.

Practical outputs: a Publishable Article or Op-Ed and Peer Review & Editorial Feedback.

Module 8 – Capstone & Global Leadership (Weeks 15–16)

Implement a final project and explore global career pathways. Learn project planning, monitoring and evaluation, and global leadership strategies.

Practical outputs: a Capstone Peace & Justice Action Plan and a Final Global Presentation.
